Ash has really started laughing a lot more in the past two days (at about six months, three weeks old). It takes very little to make him giggle now, whereas before it took SO MUCH EFFORT (lots of belly snorts!). Love it, love it, love it.

Ash is mobile, doing this cross between an army crawl and actually crawling. We were at a read-along program the other day at a local library and the leader asked how old he was and I said, “six and a half months old,” to which she responded, “Oh my god!” and I stopped her there […]

Ash took his first crawling “steps” today at my mom’s house while my sister, mother and I looked on. He didn’t get more than a couple of inches, but he did it!! I’m so proud! Six months and two weeks old!

We noticed yesterday that Ash doesn’t do the hook face anymore before starting to cry.

Yesterday Ash was army craling all over my mom’s house, chasing the cats (he LOVED THEM) and trying to get closer to the wood stove (he also loves fire). He was giggling like crazy (not real giggles, but instead the inhaling giggles and cooing) over touching the cats.
