Last night Ash slept from 12am-5am without a nursing break. Part of me thinks I actually sleep better when it’s chopped up because I woke up super dizzy that didn’t go away for a couple of hours. I’m so used to having a choppy sleep that I don’t even care. Some moms read book […]

Dear Ash,
You’re SIX MONTHS OLD! That’s half a year!! HAPPY HALF-BIRTHDAY! Let’s party! And we did!

This month has flown by. You and I have worked ourselves into a little schedule and the hours of the days of the weeks just slip by, and I have a hard time remembering any of it. […]

Yesterday I took a video of Ash and I doing, well, Ash and I stuff. Pottying, playing with the most annoying toy in the world (which happens to be his favorite… I have my mom to thank for that one), going for a walk in the sling, playing in the exersaucer while I eat […]

This video had me LOLing. Oh man, it’s funny.

Do not press play unless you want to hear my not-good singing voice. As mentioned before, Ash’s new favorite song is Down by the Bay. This is what I hear as I fall asleep EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. JESUS. H. CHRIST.

Ignore me, please. Just listen to my son, and look at the pride in his face when he’s standing up. I can absolutely hear his voice, “see mama! look at me stand! look! aren’t i good at it? lookat mama!”

I love his little laughs. They haven’t even reached a giggle yet, but they’re music to […]

I didn’t know that three month olds could have favorite songs, but apparently they can. Whenever “One Two Three Four” ends, Ash cries. I play the song five times in a row, and usually dance around with him, but today I taped him sitting in his swing chair to demonstrate his fondness of this song […]

Yesterday I walked around a grocery store with Ash in his stroller for about twenty minutes, picked up a loaf of french bread, soy milk, two pears, candy and six cans of organic pop and juice. I went to the checkout, paid with my visa and walked out of the grocery store. Leaving all my […]

We took Ash for his first ride in the expensive Graco stroller I bought before he was born. It claimed to be “SUV tough,” which was a big selling point for Clive because of the harsh Canadian winters and the several feet of snow that we’re often plagued with.

Granted, the trail was pretty rugged, […]

Baby Stretches

Lately we’ve noticed that if we pat the baby lightly on his bottom, he’ll stretch his legs out. This morning he did it with no prompting from me. Sometimes this movement really, really hurts. Regardless, it’s SUPER cool to see.
